Day 5, on the road again...
We finished up night 4 with a campfire sing along and toasted marshmallows - the perfect last night to our evening away! Some of the children are losing their voices and we all now have the distinct whiff of campfire smoke but we're coming home with some new tunes. An evening of showers, room inspections and clear packing instructions followed. The stakes were high with 20 points up for grabs. In the end, it wasn't just the clean room and organisation that won the challenge, it was the little extras... David, Miss Lovell and Miss Chandler were given sweets (on reflection, this may have been bribery), a balloon welcome with compliments of "best teachers ever" but the winning room had created a rap, complete with boom boxing in the background!!! We may have been a little too enthusiastic with our enjoyment of the song, as two teachers from the neighbouring room rushed out and gave us disapproving looks.
