Day 4

Today started off like all the other days on residential, just slightly slower as the week goes on. One thing we know for sure is that they will all need a BIG sleep on Friday night.

Really sunny day, not a cloud in the sky! Final full day but finally grasping the routines!

Breakfast in the refectory again this morning, bellies full and ready for another fun day of adventure.

First up, first aid. The morning spent learning new skills in first aid in SOS. Though we still have a long way to go, as some bandages were applied before checking if the person was breathing!

Then we took a lovely stroll in the woods.

Don't you just hate it when you stumble upon a plane crash when you're minding your own business in the woods. Really kills the vibe.

To the cries of:

"Don't panic"
"We need more bandages!"
"Oh no, there's blood running down her neck!"
And my personal favourite, "I can't move her... she's too... heavy!"

Let's just say, there's room for improvement in their collective first response skills 😜

Lunch same as always - this time salt and vinegar hoola hoops and the caramel bar with very little caramel 😂! There's only one more Hoola Hoop variety before we have collected the whole set!

Ready to go, we moved onto an afternoon of challenges and "hanging about"

This afternoon was all about teamwork with crate stacking. The challenge being to build the tallest tower you can, whilst standing on said tower.

Then, against all our instincts (ahem), we the teachers, got to knock 'em down and obstruct their path to success. *Insert evil laugh here*

Followed by Nightline. This was all about team work. We got up close and in each other's space, trusting to lead and following with confidence. It was also lovely to have the green canopy above to get a break from the brilliant sunshine.

For dinner we've traveled to Mexico and had wrapsin the refectory. Again, with so many build-your-own-options, these were an instant hit and gobbled up by our hungry travelers.

Fun on the field for our last night of residential 💙

I just wanted to finished today's blog with photo evidence of this incredible bed making that would make the concierge of the Savoy seek out the maker's employment. I bring you, beds of Cuffley.
Wish us luck as we attempt to fit our belongings back into our once carefully packed suitcases. We can't wait to see you tomorrow and tell you all about it.
